Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal welcomed this campaign in malls and festivals throughout the summer of 2010. A group of energetic staff engaged passerbys to sign a pledge board representing a promise that they would speak to their doctors about new ways to help them quit smoking. Alternatively, if they were not a smoker, the promise was simply to signify that they will encourage someone that they knew who smokes to talk to their doctor. Smokers were also offered to donate one of their cigarettes as a token of their commitment to quitting smoking. The Montreal Ford Racing Festival on Crescent Street, the West Edmonton Mall, the Calgary Stampede and the Toronto Indy were just some of the venues that helped us reach a total of 43, 753 pledges nationwide!
